A big mess, put in order.
Tidy your cloud online, live offline.

How it works
Is your Google Drive™ a mess? See what fills it: biggest folders, biggest files, duplicates and trash, so it's quick to organise and tidy up. It only reads, and nothing leaves your computer.
See your cloud
An example Drive, made up for this page: a photographer and video maker with 1.8 TB, 114 GB of exact duplicates and 62 GB sitting in the trash.
What it shows you
Your biggest folders, with every subfolder added up. A map of where the space goes. Exact duplicates, kept apart from files that only look alike. The trash, which is usually the quickest space to get back.
Several accounts, each on its own and all together. Huge Drives too: it was built on a 90 TB one, and a scan can stop and carry on later.
Every line links to the real file in Google Drive, so you decide what to keep. TidierCloud never deletes, moves or changes anything.
Nothing leaves your computer
TidierCloud talks only to Google. Your file list is kept in your own browser, on your own computer. There's no TidierCloud server in the middle, and nobody at TidierCloud ever sees your file names, sizes or anything else in your Drive.
No AI touches your data. Your files and your sign-up details are never sent to an AI service, and no AI reads, sorts or decides anything about them. AI tools helped write the program; what runs in your browser is ordinary code that counts, adds up and lists.
Designed around UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU GDPR). Your Drive data: read-only, never collected, never shared, and you can delete it yourself at any time. Your sign-up details (name, email, profession, location): used only to run the beta (and for launch news if you tick that box), never sold or shared, and deleted whenever you ask.
How it works
- Join the beta with your name, email, profession and location (50 places), then click Add Google Account.
- Google asks you to choose an account and confirm. There's a warning screen first during the beta: see below.
- Click Start Full Scan. Keep the tab open while it runs; a big Drive can take a while, and if you close the tab it carries on from where it stopped next time.
- Your results are saved in your browser, so they're still there next time. Safari, and any private window, may delete them if you don't open TidierCloud for about a week; Chrome, Firefox and Edge keep them.
- Click Visualise your cloud to see the map, the biggest folders and files, duplicates and trash.
Your Google access lasts about an hour at a time. During a long scan the page briefly goes to Google and comes back on its own, then carries on.
The “Google hasn’t verified this app” screen
When you add an account, Google warns that the app hasn't been verified yet. That's expected during the beta: Google's full review comes before the public launch.
- Click Advanced.
- Click Go to TidierCloud (unsafe).
- Google lists what it asks for: to see information about your Google Drive files. That's names, sizes, dates and folders. It can't open your files or change anything. Click Continue.
Please start with one Google account: Google lets only a small number of accounts use an app during its beta. Work or school accounts may be blocked by their administrator; a personal Gmail account works. To remove its access at any time, go to myaccount.google.com/connections.

Google Drive full? Where the space goes
Questions
My Google Drive is a mess: how do I organise it?
Start with what takes the most space, not with folder names. Scan your Drive with TidierCloud to see the biggest folders and files, exact duplicates and the trash in one place, then tidy (or organize, clean up, declutter) in that order: empty the trash, remove duplicates, then move or archive the few big folders that matter. Most messy Drives free a lot of space in the first half hour, and the map shows the structure you actually have, so you can reorganise around it.
How do I see what's taking up space in Google Drive?
Join the TidierCloud beta, add your Google account and start a scan. It lists your biggest folders (with every subfolder added up), your biggest files, exact duplicates and the trash, and draws a map of where the space goes. Every line links to the real file in Google Drive, so you decide what to delete there.
Why is my Google Drive full when I can't see big files?
Space usually hides in places Drive's own view doesn't add up for you: large files deep inside folders, exact duplicates spread across folders, and the trash, which still counts until it's emptied. Your Google storage is also shared with Gmail and Google Photos; TidierCloud measures the Drive part.
How do I find duplicate files in Google Drive?
TidierCloud compares each file's checksum, a fingerprint Google keeps for every uploaded file, so it finds exact copies even when they have different names or sit in different folders. Files that only look alike are listed separately, so you never confuse the two.
Does TidierCloud delete or change my files?
No. It only asks Google for read-only access to file information (names, sizes, dates, folders). It can't open, change, move or delete anything. You do any tidying yourself in Google Drive.
Is my Google Drive data safe? Does it use AI?
Your Drive data stays in your own browser, on your own computer: it is never uploaded to TidierCloud or anyone else. No AI reads, sorts or decides anything about your files. It is designed around UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR and the EU GDPR).
How much does TidierCloud cost?
The beta is free, with 50 places. A paid version will follow after the beta.
